We found this wine at Costco. We decanted for it 2 hours to ensure it was open. We tasted it at a room temperature of 75 degrees.
We found this wine to be Ruby Red/Purple. Simply brilliant in color.
We noticed Jam, Tobacco, Leather, Smoke and a tiny hint of Black Pepper and Barnyard. Absolutely wonderful nose.
Quite fruity. We tasted Dark Fruits, Plums, Tobacco, Leather and a finish of Peaches. The flavor intensity and finish is incredible.
Very soft and luxurious, with an excellent acidity. The Becker Vineyards Reserve Merlot 2017 sits softly in your mouth. Not aggressive or biting, tannins are present, but only add the enjoyment of this wine.
Becker Vineyards Reserve Merlot 2017 is just a wonderful experience. To think you can be shopping in Costco and find a Texas Wine is wonderful. If you’ve never tried this wine, please add it to your cellar. It deserves to be there.
